Using this website
You may use this website for lawful information and enquiry purposes. Website content is provided in good faith but does not create a binding quote, guarantee or contract unless confirmed in writing.
You must not misuse forms, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, interfere with the website or infringe intellectual-property rights.
Enquiries, audits and proposals
Submitting an enquiry or requesting a free audit does not require either party to proceed with a paid project. Information is reviewed so VCUK can suggest a suitable next step.
A paid project begins only after the scope, price, payment arrangement and responsibilities have been confirmed in a written proposal or agreement.
Project scope and changes
Each project proposal describes the agreed deliverables, pages, integrations, content responsibilities, review stages, schedule and price.
Requests outside the agreed scope are estimated and approved before extra work begins. Delays in supplying content, access or feedback may move the delivery date.
Prices and payment
Prices shown on the website are starting points for projects that fit the described scope. A clear written quote is provided before paid work begins.
Deposits, instalments, invoice dates, minimum terms and late-payment arrangements are stated in the project agreement. Third-party subscriptions, advertising spend, domains, premium software and transaction charges are paid by the client unless the proposal says otherwise.
Client responsibilities
- Provide accurate information, access, content and feedback within agreed timescales
- Confirm that supplied text, photographs, logos and other assets may legally be used
- Review factual, legal, regulated and industry-specific content before publication
- Keep passwords and account access secure
- Pay identified third-party charges and invoices when due
Intellectual property and ownership
Client-supplied materials remain the client’s property. Rights to approved project content and the completed website are transferred as described in the written agreement after the agreed payments have been made.
Pre-existing tools, reusable components, open-source software, fonts and third-party services remain subject to their own licences and terms. VCUK does not charge a surprise release fee; any migration or transfer work outside the agreed service is explained in advance.
Hosting, maintenance and support
Hosting, backups, monitoring, amendments and response expectations depend on the care plan or support agreement selected. The exact service and exclusions are confirmed in writing.
No hosting or online service can guarantee uninterrupted availability or complete protection from every security threat. Planned maintenance and necessary security action may occasionally affect availability.
SEO, analytics and marketing
VCUK does not guarantee search rankings, traffic, enquiries, revenue or a fixed return. Results depend on competition, demand, location, website history, reviews, content, platform decisions and continued activity.
Analytics and conversion tracking are intended to provide useful evidence, but data can be incomplete because of consent choices, browser protections, ad blockers and third-party platform limitations.
Cancellation and transfer
Cancellation rights, notice periods, minimum terms, final payments and transfer arrangements are stated in the relevant project or support agreement.
Where ongoing support continues after an initial term, the notice method and any work needed to transfer domains, hosting, data or accounts will be explained clearly.
Liability and third-party services
VCUK is not responsible for outages, policy changes, account restrictions or failures caused by third-party providers outside its reasonable control. Clients remain responsible for the accuracy and legality of their business information and supplied materials.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under UK law. Any project-specific limitation of liability is set out in the written agreement.
Changes and governing law
These website terms may be updated when services or legal requirements change. The latest version is published on this page.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Last reviewed: 13 July 2026.
For paid work, the project proposal or signed service agreement takes priority where it contains more specific terms.
