Conformance status

The website has been designed and developed with WCAG 2.2 Level AA principles in mind. It has not yet been independently audited, so VCUK does not claim formal conformance.

Manual keyboard, zoom, responsive-layout and reduced-motion checks form part of the launch process. Further testing and fixes will be recorded as the website develops.

Known limitations

Live portfolio previews display third-party websites inside browser frames. Those external websites have their own accessibility characteristics and are outside VCUK’s direct control. Each preview also has a normal link so it can be opened separately.

Some supplied project imagery may depend on the accessibility information available from the original project. VCUK aims to provide useful alternative text for every meaningful image published on this website.

VCUK aims to acknowledge accessibility feedback within two working days and provide a useful response or update as soon as reasonably possible.

Technical information

The website is built with semantic HTML, progressively enhanced client-side features and responsive CSS. JavaScript is used for the mobile menu, forms, analytics consent and selected interactions.

Core content and navigation are designed to remain understandable without relying on animation. Motion is reduced when the browser’s reduced-motion preference is enabled.

Preparation and review

This statement was prepared on 13 July 2026 through an internal review of keyboard access, content structure, responsive layouts, visible focus and reduced-motion behaviour.

The next review is planned after any substantial redesign, new third-party integration or formal accessibility audit.

Accessibility is an ongoing responsibility. Please report anything that makes the site difficult to use.
